Dharmendra was born Dharam Singh Deol, on the 8th of December, 1935 (aged 88 as of 2023) in the village of Nasrali of the Khanna Tehsil in Ludhiana, Punjab, India.
He spent his childhood in the village of Sahnewal. As a youngster, Dharmendra was very reluctant to attend school and was often a source of trouble for her mother in the mornings while she went to school.
